H.V.Bowen & Sons acquired Tan-Y-Foel Quarry back in the 1940’s and since that time has been extracting and processing stone. In the early days the stone was mainly used for building roads and houses compared to today where the stone is crushed and screened into various sizes and is used for a wide range of activities from “Sea & River erosion, Building stone, Drainage stone, Road construction, Readymix concrete manufacturing and ornamental features.
